Check out the new Cover Crop Selector Tool for Vegetable Crops that was developed by Michigan growers. It is the newest of the cover crop decision tools offered by the Midwest Cover Crop Council. These selector tools use local climate data and user input to assist farmers in selecting cover crops to include in their vegetable and field crop rotations.
Instructions for use and a link to the Vegetable tool can be found at http://www.mccc.msu.edu/selectorINTRO.html
Other states/provinces in the MCCC are currently developing their information. They will be added to the tools when complete. The MCCC welcomes your input and comments on the Cover Crop Decision Tools. Please send them to Dean Baas at firstname.lastname@example.org.
