Undergrads Interested in a Job Investigating Local Fresh Produce Enterprises?

Short-term undergraduate research assistance wanted for a local foods project. The purpose of the project is to generate descriptions of promising fresh produce enterprises that will market produce through local/regional wholesale channels, while upholding principles of land stewardship and fair labor practices. The enterprise descriptions will be developed with consideration to a central Illinois context, and the descriptions will specify crop and variety types, production volumes and land requirements, production systems, post-harvest handling and storage requirements, and marketing/ordering/delivery systems. This position of employment will begin as soon as possible and end on May 31, 2013.
